Monday.com export → dashboard

Your Monday board, as a live dashboard.

A Monday.com board is one row per item once you export it. Drop the CSV here and every item becomes a count — by status, group and owner — with budget summed, effort totalled and items trending over time.

01 · How it works

Export, drop, done.

Monday.com exports one row per item with its status, group and owner. Each is a category to count; the Date column drives the trend; Budget and Effort read as numbers you can sum. No board view-builder needed.

i. export

Export the board

Open the board → the ⋯ menu → Export board to Excel. Open it and Save As CSV, or export the CSV directly.

ii. detect

Columns become breakdowns

Status, Group, Owner and Priority are detected as categories; the Date column drives the trend; Budget and Effort are read as numeric metrics.

iii. read

Counts, sums & segments

See items by status next to budget by group, then click a status — every chart and total recomputes for those items.

02 · The views

The board summary without a widget.

Monday's dashboards cost extra views and setup. This is the read in one drop: status, owner, budget, done.

  • 01

    Status & group mix

Counts of items per status and per group, side by side, so a stuck stage stands out instantly.

  • 02

    Budget by slice

Budget summed across status, group or owner — the money view a status column alone can't give you.

  • 03

    Items over time

The Date column trends item volume, so you can see whether the board is growing faster than it clears.

  • 04

    Nothing uploaded

Item names, owners and budgets are parsed and charted in your browser — the export never leaves your machine.

"Summed budget by status in one drop and found a third of the money parked on items still marked Stuck."

Monday.com dashboard questions.

Which Monday.com export works?
The board export (⋯ menu → Export board to Excel), saved as CSV. It's one row per item with Status, Group, Owner, Date, Budget and Effort columns.
Yes — Budget and Effort are detected as numeric, so they're summed and can be broken down by status, group or owner, not just counted.
The Date column drives an items-over-time chart; if your board uses a different date column it's picked up the same way.
No — parsing and charting happen locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
Yes — there are dedicated Asana, Trello and Jira dashboard pages, and any board export with a date, a number column and a few categories builds the same way.
